NHS and private flu jabs, from early autumn each year.
Starting each autumn, Wargrave Pharmacy offers the flu vaccination, on the NHS for those who are eligible and privately for everyone else. It is quick, it is here on your doorstep, and it is the best protection against a winter of flu.
Who is eligible for an NHS flu vaccination?
The NHS flu vaccine is free for people aged 65 and over, people with certain long-term conditions, pregnant women, carers and some other groups. If you are not eligible, a private flu jab is available for a small charge.
Paying for a private flu vaccination
If you're not eligible for an NHS flu vaccination, or would like the flexibility of booking privately, we offer the same service privately for a small fee.
What happens at your appointment
We start with a short, private chat about your health, any medicines you take and any allergies, so we can check the service is right for you.
The vaccine is given in the upper arm and takes a moment. You can carry on with your day straight afterwards.
